Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home which has a combined gross family earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined household revenue won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of earnings.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to research at a public university or nsfas status check TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
